Part 1

Video Call (1 hr)

Once you book your consultation you will be sent a confirmation email which will include a number of simple digital forms for you to fill out Your osteopath processes these forms prior to the video call as it gives a good health and medical foundation to ask further, targeted questions to determine your current condition, possible triggers and causative factors.

The forms help to consider your health and medical history in full to determine a more accurate prognosis. You will be asked to intermittently re-do some of the forms to help monitor your progress through treatment.

You will also be sent a video call link, you simply just click the link at the time of the appointment and you will connect to your osteopath.

If you don’t have access to a computer, tablet or mobile phone with video call functionality, or if you aren’t able to use one, this part of the consultation can be done over the phone.

Part 2

Physical Examination (45 mins)

A physical examination of the breast, spine and lymphatics is carried out to assess the presence of 5 physical signs as per The Perrin Technique diagnostic procedure. Depending on your health history, sometimes there will be extra tests such as neurological assessment or blood pressure. You will also have a mechanical assessment to identify any physical contributing factors.

At the end of the physical examination your osteopath will discuss their findings and diagnosis before advising on an estimated prognosis, advice and your suggested bespoke treatment and care plan will be explained.

Following on from the consultation you will be sent a summary of findings, diagnosis and prognosis, and information on the advice given.

If your osteopath recommends The Perrin Technique, we operate a professional no pressure approach and will work with you to ensure treatments are accessible at times that suit you should you decide to go ahead.
